- Authentication handled by the DS. Visa and MasterCard each have their eligibility criteria. For example,Smart Authenticationfor MasterCard. No eligibility for DS with CB or AMEX.
- Requests emitted by the merchant.
- Threshold defined for the merchant contract by the acquirer. The “Acquirer 3DS2 TRA” activation option is subject to the prior agreement of your financial institution. Contact us once the agreement is obtained.
- If the currency is different from EUR, the equivalent amount in EUR will be taken in case of currency conversion. The rule on the converted currency will be applied.
- Set to ‘U’ for Visa and Mastercard, and 402, 403, etc. See: Schematic diagram of authentication
- The transaction is refused. A direct authorization is attempted if the authentication return is 'U' or '13'.
- Payment guarantee:
- Payment not guaranteed with CB and MasterCard. With Visa, the guarantee is possible depending on the issuers (ACS).
